The lack of sleep decreases our performance, concentration, reflexes and ability to learn. Adolescents and adults may have traffic accidents or work, while children can have accidents and injuries. In children can cause poor school performance, recreational, social and sporting. Children, like adults, can suffer from sleep disorders. For this reason, parents should consult your pediatrician if your child has any of the following symptoms: * Snoring * Pauses in breathing during sleep * You wake up frequently during the night * Has difficulty staying awake during the day * Decrease Sudden performance during the day The following recommendations will help to establish proper sleep habits for their daughter or son: * Set a regular time to go to sleep and stick. * Establish a relaxing routine of going to bed, and give your daughter or son a warm shower or reading a story. * Practice relaxing activities after dinner and before bedtime. Many physical activity before going to sleep will keep you awake. Check out Dr. Anthony Carolla for additional information. * Avoid giving very large meals before bedtime. * Do not give any food or drink containing caffeine for at least six hours before bedtime. * Adjust the temperature of your child's room to be comfortable. * Make sure the room is dark while the child sleeps. * Keep the noise level low.
