In this direction, Barbosa (1999) tells that the lessons of swimming for babies must have in sight objective of psicomotor nature, cognitivo and social, with intention to promote the harmonious and integral development of the citizen. Thus, one gives credit that this activity can assist in the security of baby, preventing more serious accidents, and also provides to the baby motor abilities in the water that can benefit its integral development. Silveira & The Nakamuras (1998) detach that the main concern during the exercises is not to teach the child to swim, but yes a series of other objectives as: the development of its psicomotora capacity, emotional balance and the sociabilizao. Therefore, it is considered important that the professors of Physical Education and researchers of this area of performance, continue searching and if perfecting, the continued formation is basic for the quality of education.
